Responsible Use of AI
Last updated: 2026-07-07
How Knowledge Catalyst designs, guards, and expects people to use the AI features across our platform — and, critically, what those features are not, and where to get real help if you need it.
1. Purpose and scope
Knowledge Catalyst's platform includes AI-assisted features — including chat assistants, drafting and summarisation tools, and agentic workflow helpers — across our Cross-Border Trade Finance, Sustainability, Health & Insurance, and Talent ecosystems. This Policy explains what these features are designed to do, their limitations, the guardrails we apply, and how to get help if you are in crisis. It applies to anyone who interacts with an AI feature on our platform.
2. What our AI is designed to do
Our AI features are designed to assist and augment human work: helping you draft or summarise documents, answer questions about the platform, navigate credential-verification workflows, or triage routine administrative tasks. They are decision-support tools, not decision-makers. A qualified human always remains responsible for reviewing AI-assisted output before it is relied upon or acted on.
3. What our AI is not — read this before you rely on it
- It is not a licensed professional. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, immigration, or other regulated professional advice, and nothing it outputs should be treated as such.
- It is not a substitute for a qualified doctor, therapist, lawyer, accountant, or financial adviser. Always consult a suitably qualified professional before making a decision that affects your health, legal rights, finances, or safety.
- It is not a crisis service, emergency responder, or mental-health counsellor. It cannot assess risk of harm, provide therapy, or intervene in an emergency. See section 7 below if you or someone else needs that kind of help right now.
- It is not infallible. Like all AI systems, it can produce incomplete, outdated, or incorrect output (including confident-sounding but false statements). Verify anything consequential against an authoritative source or a qualified professional before relying on it.
- It is not authorised to make final decisions with legal, financial, health, or safety consequences — such as determining credential authenticity, approving a contract or claim, or making a hiring decision — without human review. A qualified person always makes or confirms the final call.
- It is not to be used to generate deceptive, discriminatory, unlawful, or harmful content, or to impersonate a real person, professional, or institution.
4. Human oversight and accountability
Every AI-assisted output that could affect a legal, financial, health, or safety decision must be reviewed by a qualified human before it is acted on. Users and staff remain accountable for decisions they make with AI assistance — the tool assists the decision, it does not own it.
5. Prohibited uses
- Attempting to bypass, disable, or extract the safety configuration, system instructions, or training data of an AI feature.
- Using an AI feature to generate malware, phishing content, or other tools intended to cause harm.
- Using an AI feature to generate unlawful content, including content that sexually exploits minors, in any circumstance.
- Presenting AI-generated output as independently verified professional advice, or as coming from a certified human professional, when it is not.
- Using an AI feature to make an unsupervised, high-stakes decision within a regulated ecosystem (health, trade finance, or talent/employment) without the human review required by section 4.
- Automating circumvention of our Acceptable Use Policy using an AI feature.
6. How we handle your data in AI features
Please avoid entering more sensitive personal, health, or financial data into an AI feature than the task genuinely requires. Where an AI feature is powered by a third-party model provider (for example, Google Gemini), your input is processed server-side under our Privacy Policy — it is never sent directly from your browser to the model provider. We do not use your confidential platform data to train third-party models without a separate written agreement.
7. If you are in crisis — please stop and reach out
Our AI features are not equipped to help in a crisis and must never be used as a substitute for emergency or mental-health services. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, or is thinking about suicide or self-harm, please stop and contact emergency services or one of the resources below right now. You are not alone, and real help is available.

8. Feedback and reporting

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy as our AI features, applicable law, or good practice evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email; continued use of an AI feature after such changes constitutes acceptance.
